During Disney’s Q1 2024 earnings call today, CEO Bob Iger casually rattled off release windows for some of its most anticipated movies, including sequels for Toy Story, Frozen, and Zootopia, as well as The Mandalorian and Grogu.
After Iger said on the call that Zootopia 2 would be arriving in 2025, Disney sent an announcement with its exact release date: November 26, 2025. That same announcement also confirmed that the new Alien movie premiering on August 16, 2024, will be called Alien: Romulus, although it was already widely being referred to by that name.
While we didn’t get official release dates, Iger did say on the call that two animated heavy-hitters – Toy Story 5 and Frozen 3 – will both be arriving in 2026. And while it’s not much of a surprise, Iger confirmed that The Mandalorian and Grogu, the recently announced new film directed by Jon Favreau, will be the first of the new slate of planned Star Wars movies, also coming out in 2026.
