Oleksandr Zinchenko could cost Arsenal the Premier League title, according to former England midfielder Michael Gray on Dec. 27.
Gray, who was speaking after the London club’s 1-1 draw with Liverpool on Dec. 23, said Zinchenko has issues communicating with his teammates and is not a world class player.

“I will be honest with you; Zinchenko could cost Arsenal the Premier League. That’s how serious a problem he is,” Gray said.
“I’m not saying he’s a terrible player, because he’s not. He’s played for Manchester City, he’s done it before, and it’s hard to criticise him at times when you think about what he and his family have been through over the last year and a half.”

“But if you judge the football and what I’ve seen, I think he causes a problem for Arsenal.”
“If we talk about communication, for the left-back and the central midfielder it is absolutely essential to be established. I don’t think the communication between Zinchenko and the two central midfielders is good enough.”
“It’s hard to see on TV sometimes but it can be noticed easily in a game. All it takes is to look over his right shoulder at the left central midfield and I don’t think he does that very well.”
Zinchenko has played 23 matches this season, scoring one goal and providing one assist.
