Zeke in the Box: Watch Cowboys’ latest Salvation Army kettle TD celebration

Zeke #Zeke

Ezekiel Elliott has responded.

In the later stages of the Cowboys’ trouncing of the Indianapolis Colts, Zeke Elliott (with help from Dak Prescott) added to the Cowboys’ Salvation Army kettle-related shenanigans by once again hopping fully into the famous red kettle after scoring a touchdown to make it a 46-19 game. This comes one game after the Cowboys’ tight end room did the same, with Dalton Schultz and crew pantomiming a game of Whac-a-Mole inside the kettle during the Cowboys’ win over the Giants.

Elliott and Prescott appeared to do more of a ‘Jack in the Box’ homage.

Of course, all four participants in the Whac-a-Mole celebration were fined by the NFL — Dalton Schultz, ($13,261), Jake Ferguson ($4,895), Peyton Hendershot ($3,944) and Sean McKeon ($4,994) — so Elliott and Prescott can likely expect the same.

Elliott admitted jealousy of the tight end group’s creativity in the week leading up to the Colts game, so this was perhaps something cooked up in order to reclaim his title of Kettle King.

Is the ball back in the tight ends’ court?
