Yves Tumor has shared a new music video from their latest album Praise A Lord Who Chews But Which Does Not Consume; (Or Simply, Hot Between Worlds). A daring and sonically explorative effort from the experimental musician, “Operator” has been regarded as a standout track, perfect for streaming at a busy party or club night.
On the song, Tumor layers eclectic production with a heavy hand over their crooning vocals. Mowalola and Fresh Jame, who also performs as Year0001, support Tumor with their own vocals.
The music video is a fan-created work of art by a student, Isabela Tellez. Tumor came across Tellez earlier this year from another art project of hers, in which she had also sampled “Operator.”
The visual converges stop-motion graphics with appearances from Tumor and their fellow supporting vocalists, overlaid in a grainy black and red filter.
Tumor’s “Operator” video arrives in tandem with the news that they’ll be tacking on more stops to their ongoing To Spite or Not To Spite tour in support of Praise A Lord. The musician has added a US run in October and a UK and European leg in November.
