Figure skating anime “Yuri on Ice” just dropped a teaser trailer for its upcoming film “Ice Adolescence.”
The movie focuses on Viktor Nikiforov, one of the main characters in the series, back when he was 17 years old.
In the trailer, he is seen wearing a green costume and his hair is secured by a ponytail. He enters the ice as the announcer calls his name, while fans cheer in the background as he prepares to start his program.
According to Anime News Network, the video was first released at a screening event in January 2019, but it had not been uploaded online.
No release date has been confirmed, but the official Twitter account of the film said production is ongoing.
“Yuri On Ice” is a 12-episode series first released in 2016. It follows the story of a Japanese skater, Yuri Katsuki, whose idol, Viktor, suddenly becomes his coach after a disappointing season. —MGP, GMA News
