WWE announcer Renee Young has announced she tested positive for COVID-19. This news comes just hours after AEW star, and her husband, Jon Moxley was pulled from AEW Dynamite due to coming in close contact with somebody who tested positive.

Young’s tweet read:

Earlier today it was announced that multiple members of WWE personnel tested positive for COVID-19 amid increased testing after the promotion announced a developmental talent tested positive for the disease on June 9. In light of the latest series of positive cases, WWE has issued a statement regarding its COVID-19 procedures moving forward:

“WWE will continue COVID-19 testing of its talent, production crew and employees in advance of TV productions for the foreseeable future,” read the statement.

WWE has faced scrutiny, criticism and concern from in and out of its locker room on its insistence of moving forward with tapings as COVID-19 cases continue to skyrocket to record levels in the state of Florida.

Young was the host of WWE Backstage, which was recently nixed as a weekly show by Fox Sports. This was referenced in Young’s aforementioned tweet.

Jon Moxley is currently the AEW champion and, for the time being, is scheduled to defend his title against Brian Cage at Fyter Fest on July 8. In regards to Moxley’s status, AEW President Tony Khan tweeted the following:
