Six-time WWE Tag Team Champion Jimmy Uso has reportedly been arrested for alleged DUI.

According to a report from TMZ Sports, the veteran WWE star “has been arrested for DUI again … after cops say he was driving in Florida with a BAC of .205, TMZ Sports has learned. According to police docs, Uso — real name Jonathan Fatu — was pulled over at around 10:35 PM on Monday in Pensacola after cops say he ran a red light after being clocked going 50 MPH in a 35 MPH zone.”

One of the most decorated tag team performers in WWE history, Uso missed roughly a year of in-ring action after suffering a major knee injury at WrestleMania 36 before making his triumphant to return to Friday Night SmackDown this May. Since coming back to the blue brand, Uso has been involved in a high-profile storyline with his twin brother Jey and Universal Champion Roman Reigns.

The marquee storyline seemingly positioned both Jimmy and Jey to get the biggest spotlights of their careers. According to a recent report from WrestlingNews.co, the accomplished tag team was headed for a massive push in route to next month’s SummerSlam pay-per-view.

A source told the site, ““Obviously, the plan is to build Roman up so fans see him as being on the level of Cena and Rock but this is also about making Jimmy and Jey look strong and we will get there by SummerSlam. This will be a tight-knit unit in a few months.” In addition, another source noted that “SummerSlam will be a big night for Roman and for Jimmy and Jey.”

However, details regarding Jimmy’s reported arrest could throw a wrench into those plans. TMZ Sports adds, “Officers say Uso went on to bomb field sobriety tests … so they arrested him. In the docs, cops claim Uso’s BAC breath tests came back at .202 and .205 — well above Florida’s legal limit of .08. According to jail records, Uso was booked on a misdemeanor DUI charge…Police docs show Uso was also hit with citations for speeding and running a red light.”

Jimmy’s arrest marks the latest development in a long line of legal troubles for a star who WWE just touted as one half of the seventh best tag team ever alongside his brother Jey. According to ProWrestling.Net, Jimmy was arrested in both 2011 and 2013 for alleged DUI, though his attorney refuted that and said in 2013 that he was actually “arrested for driving with a suspended license while also being on probation.” Jimmy, however was also arrested for a “drunken dispute” and charged with “disorderly conduct and obstruction” in February 2019. He was again arrested, this time for alleged DUI, in July 2019 mere days after John Cena mocked his arrest history during a segment on Monday Night Raw.

At the time of Jimmy’s July 2019 arrest, WWE issued a brief statement to TMZ regarding the incident: “Jonathan Fatu is responsible for his own personal actions.” Despite Jimmy’s legal woes, he was never suspended by the company for any incidents outside of the ring, and he and his brother Jey have been prominently featured in WWE’s tag team division for much of the past decade in route to becoming one of the most accomplished duos in WWE history.

In regards to his most recent arrest, WWE did not immediately return a request for comment, and as of this writing, has yet to release a public statement on the matter.
