WWE superstar Cesaro is backing Pep Guardiola and Manchester City to come up trumps in this season’s tight Premier League title race.
The Cityzens have emerged as top contenders for the top spot after a great run of form which has left them five points ahead of rivals Manchester United with a game in hand.
Speaking exclusively to Metro.co.uk, Cesaro urged: ‘Keep the momentum going, they’ve been on a tear and I’m not sure they can be stopped right now! Hopefully everybody stays healthy too.’
The Swiss Cyborg – whose tag team partner Sheamus is a huge Liverpool fan and won’t be pleased with his comments – also pointed to how football is missing live crowds.
Noting similarities with the world of wrestling, he added: ‘I miss the fans and I know as a performer and athlete the players do too. It’s great to see how close the race this season is, it’s very exciting.’

Chelsea, West Ham and Everton are further away but still just about in with a shot in fifth, sixth and seventh respectively.
However, Cesaro – who bares a resemblance to City’s boss – has also tweeted: ‘I am backing my long lost brother Pep! @ManCity will win the Title Race #MCFC’
With the Premier League really heating up, top WWE superstars have donned their favourite club’s colours to show their support.
As well as Sheamus and Cesaro getting involved, Kofi Kingston is pulling for West Ham United – which will please Triple H – while villain King Corbin wants Man United to do the job.
Braun Strowman (Leicester), Jeff Hardy (Everton), Apollo Crews (Chelsea) and Gran Metalik (Spurs) have all got involved.

However, you’d expect Riddle and Dolph Ziggler could be disappointed after showing their support for Arsenal and Aston Villa respectively, with both teams some way off a title challenge.
