WWE SmackDown results: Live recap, grades for the trial of Roman Reigns; Edge makes his return
Roman #Roman
Roman Reigns is headed to court. Reigns’ role as The Bloodline’s “Tribal Chief” is in doubt after he suffered his first pinfall loss in three and a half years at Money in the Bank. The trial of Reigns takes place when WWE SmackDown heads to Madison Square Garden in New York City at 8 p.m. ET on Friday.
The Usos won the first major battle of “The Bloodline Civil War” at Money in the Bank in London. Jey Uso scored a shocking pinfall win over Reigns, the first time Reigns went out on his shield in more than 36 months. Reigns’ capability as “The Head of the Table” is now in question as SmackDown hosts a trial.
Friday’s show also features the return of WWE Hall of Famer and former world champion Edge, who serves as a guest on “The Grayson Waller Effect.”
Two matches have been formally announced for SmackDown’s return to MSG. Austin Theory defends his United States championship against Sheamus, and AJ Styles hopes to fend off the ferocious Karrion Kross.
