WWE SmackDown results: Live recap, grades as Seth Rollins returns on Road to WrestleMania

After last having appeared at November’s Survivor Series as part of the losing SmackDown men’s team, Seth Rollins made his return to the WWE ring on Jan. 31 in the Royal Rumble match. Friday night, Rollins will return to WWE television when he will return to weekly SmackDown television.

Rollins’ two month absence was the result of taking time off to be with fiancee Becky Lynch for the birth of their daughter, Roux, in December. Prior to his time off, Rollins had been engaged in a lengthy storyline involving former “disciple” Murphy as well as Rey Mysterio and the entire Mysterio family. With the Mysterios moving on to a storyline with King Corbin and with Murphy having not wrestled since Dec. 4, it’s unclear what Rollins’ focus will be in his return.
