WWE has announced Triple H is now in charge of the company’s creative direction following the retirement of Vince McMahon.
The longtime chairman and CEO of the company shocked the wrestling world by stepping down on Friday amid an ongoing investigation into allegations of sexual misconduct, and his son-in-law – real name Paul Levesque – has taken over a prominent role.
On Monday, WWE officially unveiled Levesque’s wife and Vince’s daughter Stephanie McMahon as chairwoman and co-CEO alongside the company’s president Nick Khan.
In a press release, they added: ‘WWE executive Paul Levesque will assume all responsibilities related to WWE’s creative, in addition to his regular duties.’
Making a joint statement, McMahon and Khan said: ‘We are grateful for the opportunity to lead WWE together with our unmatched management team.
‘We recognize this is a tremendous opportunity and responsibility, and we look forward to serving the WWE Universe.’

The news follows the huge announcement Levesque is back in his role as executive vice president of talent relations after suffering a terrifying cardiac event in September 2021 which left him fearing for his life, and saw him taking a step back from his work life.
In a press release, WWE announced on Friday that The Game is back ‘effective immediately’, while Triple H added in a statement: ‘I look forward to returning to my prior position as head of Talent Relations. I’m healthy, fired up, and ready to take charge.’
He then tweeted that he is ‘proud and honored to work with the best talent in the world.’
In a statement on Friday, Vince confirmed his retirement and said: ‘As I approach 77 years old, I feel it’s time for me to retire as Chairman and CEO of WWE. Throughout the years, it’s been a privilege to help WWE bring you joy, inspire you, thrill you, surprise you, and always entertain you.’
‘I would like to thank my family for mightily contributing to our success, and I would also like to thank all of our past and present Superstars and employees for their dedication and passion for our brand.
‘Most importantly, I would like to thank our fans for allowing us into your homes every week and being your choice of entertainment.

‘I hold the deepest appreciation and admiration for our generations of fans all over the world who have liked, currently like, and sometimes even love our form of Sports Entertainment.’
Stephanie had announced in May she was taking a leave of absence to focus on her family, while in March her husband Triple H confirmed his in-ring retirement months after he was left fighting for his life following a battle with viral pneumonia and heart failure, which has left him with a defibrillator in his chest.
Stephanie tweeted: ‘As of tomorrow, I am taking a leave of absence from the majority of my responsibilities at WWE. WWE is a lifelong legacy for me and I look forward to returning to the company that I love after taking this time to focus on my family.’
