Ben Wilson proved to be the unlikeliest of heroes for Coventry City as Mark Robins’s side kept their play-off hopes alive against Blackburn Rovers.
The home side had taken the lead at Ewood park in the first half through Sam Gallagher as the Lancashire club looked to fend off challenges for their spot in the top six. The Sky Blues struggled to get themselves into the game, with the match low on chances, and City’s dreams of promotion appeared to be fading away.
However, Mark Robins’ side began to dominate proceedings in the final stages and came up with the most remarkable equaliser. Goalkeeper Ben Wilson proved to be in the right place at the right time, after racing up field for Gustavo Hamer’s 95th minute corner, to bundle in City’s equaliser.
