Woman under arrest, her best friend dead after Boone County crash

One woman is dead and her best friend is under arrest after a crash on Richwood Road in Boone County. Allasandra Losey, 22, of Walton, was a passenger in the vehicle. She was ejected and died at the scene.The driver was Bryanna Godsey, 22, also of Walton, who is charged with DUI and second-degree manslaughter.Investigators with the Boone County Sheriff’s Department said the two had left a bar about a mile from the crash scene.Tire marks show the vehicle left the road and hit a culvert. “It just breaks my heart under the circumstances,” Riley King, who has been a friend of both women for years, said. “I just hope that people our age realize, yes, it might have been legal for them to drink. But you should never get behind the wheel. Never get behind the wheel. There’s so many people you could call.”King said the two women were part of a group of young women who spent a lot of time together, but that Losey and Godsey were best friends.King said it never should have ended this way.“I just hope that it’s more of a message to people, instead of to be mad at one person and to be mad at the bar or be mad about anything in general, I think it should be more of a message. Sandra is gone. It should be a legacy. She was such a great person,” King said.
