Wolves appear to have beaten Tottenham in the £20million transfer race to sign Ainsley Maitland-Niles from Arsenal.
According to Sky Sports, 22-year-old starlet Maitland-Niles is in advanced talks over joining Wolves as Mikel Arteta seeks to sell him to raise transfer funds for a huge summer rebuild at the Emirates.

Arsenal are due to let the versatile youngster go for around £20m, and Maitland-Niles is negotiating a four-year contract at Molineux.
The former England youth international, who joined Arsenal at the age of six, has also this summer been inked with a stunning move to cross the north London divide and join Spurs.
However, it is Wolves who appear to have won the transfer race with head coach Nuno keen to add midfield and full-back reinforcements this summer.

Maitland-Niles has made exactly 100 appearances for his boyhood club, starting his career in central midfield but moving to left-back in 2018. He later began to also play on the right side of defence and has proven a versatile option for the Gunners over the past three years.
News of Maitland-Niles’ proposed north London exit was swiftly followed by Arsenal confirming the permanent signings of defenders Cedric Soares and Pablo Mari, who both initially joined the Gunners on loan in January.
“We have reached agreement with both Pablo Mari and Cedric Soares to join the club on permanent deals,” read an Arsenal statement.
“Both players joined us initially on loan in January, and after impressing on and off the pitch over the past eight months, all parties have agreed to make their moves permanent.”
