Wink currently at 16,578 winks of downtime

Winks #Winks

You may recall Wink, the ecosystem that decided to tell users who had bought their products that they had a week or two to start paying a monthly fee or all their E-Stuff would be junk. Well, they did that in the middle of a pandemic and started charging evidently and on January 25th they went down. Down they remain.

What a hoot.

Today I learned that Wink is currently owned by wil.i.am’s company, who almost bought out Earin but evidently didn’t. Guessing bullet dodged on that. Man, let me tell you being a home automation hub and being down since January 25th (a week ago as of this writing,) and saying it was going to be fixed on the 28th (math is hard,) that’s not something I’d be paying for.

Probably time to decide it’s not taking a 40 Wink Outage and instead is taking a dirt nap. Not something you could rely on.
