Windy, cloudy Monday will give way to drier, sunnier week

After a rainy Sunday, the Miami Valley may have a chance to dry off with no significant rain forecasted for the next week, the National Weather Service in Wilmington reported.

Today’s temperatures will be cool, ranging between 20 and 44 degrees, the NWS said. Winds could reach up to 16 mph during the day, though wind speeds may die down to between 5-10 mph in the evening. Cloudy skies will give way to sunshine and during the day and overnight.

Heavy rain from Sunday could result in flooding today could result in rivers flooding. Both Cincinnati and Columbus reported record rainfall yesterday with 2.08 inches measured in Cincinnati and 0.76 inches in Columbus, according to NWS. Motorists should never drive through high waters or go around road closed signs or barricades.

Tomorrow, the skies will remain clear and sunny, however temperatures will remain cool. Highs will reach around 44 degrees and lows will hover just below 30 degrees, the NWS said.

Wednesday may bring slightly warmer temperatures, ranging between 54 and 30 degrees. The skies will likely be clear.
