Windy, cloudy and warm Tuesday before Wednesday’s cold front

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) – Good Tuesday morning. Light scattered rain showers and warm temperatures in the lower 60s will kick off our Tuesday morning.
A Wind Advisory is in effect for all counties through noon Wednesday. Wind gusts can exceed 35 miles per hour at times, be sure to secure any loose outdoor items and use caution when driving. Rain showers will wrap up by mid to late morning leaving us cloudy and warm with high temperatures reaching the low to middle 70s during the afternoon. Cloudy skies and breezy winds stick around overnight with a very warm and humid start to Wednesday morning.
Wednesday morning will bring in a narrow line of heavy rainfall and some embedded thunderstorms along a cold front. This will be a fast moving line of storms that can produce some stronger wind gusts, small hail and frequent lightning. Rain and storms will end by the early afternoon and temperatures will plummet into the 40s by Wednesday afternoon and evening, a few flurries may even be possible Wednesday night.
The end of the week will be much cooler with highs staying below average in the 50s for Thursday and Friday. Scattered showers will be expected to end the week on Friday with rainfall totals around one-quarter inch. The weekend is looking a bit warmer with highs in the 60s, more scattered rain showers are expected for Sunday.
