Wilson police responded to the first theft at about 3:15 p.m., when they heard a sedan was stolen from the Butler Auto Sales lot, according to a news release from the police department. Officers then responded to a sighting of the car on Fairview Avenue, but when they approached, a man with the stolen car fled on foot. While police were looking for the man, a pickup truck was reported stolen from the 2000 block of Freemansburg Avenue, according to the release.

Upper Darby police found the pickup truck at about 8 p.m. Saturday. They told Wilson police that the truck was used to steal motorcycles from the Delaware County township, according to the news release.

The man Upper Darby police arrested matched the description of the person who stole the car from Butler Auto Sales, according to the release. His identity is still under investigation, and Wilson police are looking into whether he is the same man who stole both vehicles from the borough.
