Willian scored against his former club while Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga made an error as the Blues fell to a 2-1 defeat against Fulham.

The pressure was already on Chelsea boss Graham Potter, and they now have just one Premier League win since October.

New signing Joao Felix showed promising signs in the opening stages, but was later sent off for a high challenge on Kenny Tete.

In the 25th minute, former Blue Willian’s shot from the edge of the area took a slight deflection off Trevoh Chalobah and found its way into the bottom corner.

It was poor defending from the Chelsea back line in the build-up, with talkSPORT’s Lianne Sanderson clearly unimpressed.

“Defensively that just isn’t good enough, there’s no conviction,” said Sanderson on commentary for talkSPORT.

“You can’t be defending like that, there’s no excuse. There’s no confidence there.”

Chelsea equalised through Kalidou Koulibaly shortly after the restart as his close range effort edged over the line.

However, Fulham regained the lead in the 73rd minute when Carlos Vinicius took advantage of Kepa being caught in no man’s land.

The former Tottenham striker netted his first goal for the club to give the hosts the advantage once again.

They have won just once in their last five matches across all competitions, with the pressure continuing to mount on Potter.

Chelsea’s hopes of securing top four are now further from their grasp, whereas Fulham continue their impressive season with another win.
