Will Ospreay Returns To AEW On 8/16 Dynamite, Attacks Chris Jericho After Argument With Don Callis

Ospreay #Ospreay

Chris Jericho makes his decision, and Will Ospreay makes his return to AEW.

The segment between Callis and Jericho started off with a bang, as Jericho wasted no time and quickly agreed to join The Don Callis Family. Callis was surprised by this, but he quickly rejoiced and tried to get Jericho to leave the ring and go have drinks with him.

Before leaving the ring, Jericho insisted on seeing the painting that was set up in the ring, which was covered up with a black tarp. Callis seemed reluctant to let Jericho see it, but ‘The Ocho’ pulled off the tarp, revealing a painting of Callis holding Jericho’s head cut off of his body.

Callis proceeded to say that he expected Jericho to decline the invitation to join his family, noting that he has always been selfish and all about himself.

Konosuke Takeshita hit the ring shortly after, and was quickly followed by a returning Will Ospreay. Ospreay and Takeshita beat down Jericho before Callis smacked the painting over his head.

Sammy Guevara then came to Jericho’s aid and chased off the trio of Callis, Ospreay, and Takeshita.

In a backstage segment after the attack, Jericho told Ospreay that they’ve been on a collision course since 2021 and that he was going to embarrass him in front of his countrymen, friends, and family at AEW All In.

Ospreay last appeared for AEW at the Forbidden Door pay-per-view in June, where he defeated Kenny Omega in a critically acclaimed singles match.
