KANSAS CITY — Will Brennan, the Kansas City kid, played at Kauffman Stadium when he was in high school. He dreamed of one day playing in the big leagues at his hometown park.
The dream probably went a lot like Tuesday night when Brennan doubled home two runs in the ninth inning to give the Guardians a 2-1 win over the Royals.
