Hodgson’s men are set to return to action on Tuesday evening, in a derby showdown at Selhurst Park.

The Eagles will head into proceedings in desperate search of a bounce-back result, on the back of just 1 win from their last 9 across all competitions.

Their most recent outing, at Manchester City last weekend, meanwhile, saw Palace condemned to a 4-0 drubbing.

West Ham, though, will prove no pushovers.

The Irons, unlike their upcoming opponents, have looked thoroughly impressive of late, flying high in 7th in the Premier League table, on the back of a trio of consecutive wins.

Zaha boost

As such, ahead of his side’s meeting with the in-form Hammers, Roy Hodgson will no doubt be desperate to have as many of his key performers available for selection as possible.

And, as confirmed by none other than the Palace boss himself earlier today, in a major boost, Wilfried Zaha is in line for a return to action in 24 hours’ time.

Ivorian wide-man Zaha missed his side’s defeat to City last time out, after picking up a fitness problem.

The 28-year-old, though, had since been spotted back in full training, and, as revealed by Hodgson during a pre-match press conference, is now fit to feature from the off on Tuesday:

‘Every team needs its top players. There is no doubt that Wilf is one of those. When you play without him you’ll always miss him, so we’re delighted to get him back.’
