Wilbur The Wombat Is Australian Zoo’s Newest Addition

Meet the Australian Reptile Park’s newest adorable addition. Wilbur, a five-month-old wombat joey, was brought to the park after his mother was struck by a car. Seeing fluttering movements from the mother’s pouch, the rescuer found the baby wombat inside. Wilbur is now receiving the love, care and attention he needs from Park Keeper Seleena De Gelder. Keeper Seleena says of the new addition “When I laid eyes on Wilbur, I instantly fell in love.” For now, Wilbur will remain at the Australian Reptile Park for roughly 12 months. Once it is decided if he is healthy and strong enough, he will be released back into the wild.
