William Saliba couldn’t have asked for a better start to the season at Arsenal.
The French international has walked straight into Mikel Arteta’s starting line-up, and earned plenty of plaudits.
The 21-year-old was speaking to Sky Sports News (18/9 11:07am) about the start to his time back at Arsenal after three loan moves away.
Saliba has been ‘unbelievable’ this season, and has helped his side reach the top of the Premier League before this weekend’s games.

He’s created a formidable partnership with Brazilian Gabriel, with Ben White and Oleksandr Zinchenko flanking the centre-backs.
Speaking on Sky Sports News (18/9, 11:07am), Saliba was asked about the Todd Boehly’s touted North vs South game.
Saliba was asked if he could see himself playing alongside the likes of Tottenham’s Eric Dier.
The French defender replied: “Why not?” before giggling at the idea.
Todd Boehly’s North v South idea has been widely speculated on in the media this week.
The already hectic football schedule arguably doesn’t need another fixture to contend with.
However, football fans would love to debate who should be included.
It would also potentially combine players who would never turn out alongside each other in any other capacity.
Seeing direct rivals playing together would certainly be an odd sight.

Very few players cross the Arsenal/Tottenham divide, and to see them actively helping each other would be strange.
Saliba, however, believes he could play alongside Eric Dier if it came to it.
The ‘wonderful’ Spurs centre-back scored his second goal of the season yesterday against Leicester.
He’s also broken back into the England squad, and is making a late bid to reach the World Cup.
He could end up playing against Saliba, who’s a senior France international, if both teams go far enough in the tournament.
A North v South match feels a long way off right now, but could throw up some interesting combinations if it did happen.
