After weeks of calls from the public, we have finally got some Irish to watch in the Love Island villa!
Three faces from the Emerald Isle will grace our screens in the coming weeks as they search for love in Mallorca.
Here, we take a look at Dubliner Salma Naran:
Salma, 20, is a model and influencer with over 50k followers on Instagram.
This evening will see Salma join two other Irish bombshells entering the Love Island villa, including fellow Dubliner Kaila Troy and Belfast’s Matthew McNab.
Speaking to ITV about her motivation to go on the series, Salma said: “I’ve never been in love. What better place to have tunnel vision and really find your one?”
Salma said she will bring “vibrant energy” to Love Island and that she is “‘confident’ – which is something she says everyone has to say about her.
The influencer added: “Chatty, I am chatty once I’m comfortable around you. I can be shy at times if I don’t like the energy. I do pick up on energy a lot. I don’t like confrontation.”
She’s not afraid to speak her mind, admitting: “I am a very fiery person, but I would never start something just because. If I’m confronted, then I probably would get fiery. I don’t bother people if they don’t bother me.”
Love Island has seen success with previous Irish contestants such as Maura Higgins, Yewande Biala and Greg O’Shea.
A post shared on Salma’s Instagram page announced her Love Island entrance: “Well… The secret’s out! Our Salma is heading into the Casa Amor Villa on @loveisland. Let’s get behind her and thank you for the support so far! Whose head do you think she will be turning?”
Six new Love Islander’s will enter the villa this evening in an attempt to shake up the couples that are currently in there.
The best of luck to the three contestants on their journey to find love in the villa.
You can watch Love Island tonight on Virgin Media One & ITV2.
