Right now, Femi is gaining significant attention for a certain tweet, but who exactly is he?

As noted by Teesside Live, the group serves to represent the younger generation who strongly believe that Brexit will be disastrous. He has made his stance on Brexit clear during discussions on Sky News, BBC broadcasts and beyond, having previously debated with the likes of Nigel Farage.

The previous source notes that the OFOC and Femi argue that Brexit is “not only destructive, it is democratically unsustainable”.

Looking back, the 30-year-old was born in Darlington, County Durham and was privately educated at Yarm School; previous notable pupils include Conservative MP Simon Clarke and footballer Ben Gibson.

A couple of years back, Teesside Live included some perspecitve on Brexit from Femi:

“It makes me angry that the change people have been presented with after Brexit is not going to materialise. People were not asked what they thought of the single market. They were asked what politician they trusted the most. But details about what the single market is, and why we’re in it, that is not in the public discourse.”

He also argued that “within five years, we will have a population which will be Remain”.

The activist has been particularly prevalent on Twitter recently and appeared on Jeremy Vine on 5 on Tuesday, November 3rd 2020.

While there, a tweet regarding BBC presenters wearing poppies he wrote on Monday, November 2nd 2020 was addressed.

The tweet featured presenters wearing poppies and read: “Dear@bbc, why are your presenters wearing poppies?Your rules ban “virtue signalling no matter how worthy the cause”.If presenters can support war-related campaigns on the news, surely they can show they believe in equality for black & gay people? Or is that against BBC values?”
