It’s Cinco de Mayo, which commemorates the Mexican Army’s victory over French forces in the Battle of Puebla in 1862, and Irving restaurants are celebrating with live music, complimentary tastings and frozen margarita stations.

Hugo’s Invitados is planning complimentary tastings, top-shelf tequila, DJs on the patio and games. Open 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. 5240 N O’Connor Blvd.
Mexican Sugar will host a party from 4 to 10 p.m. with a frozen margarita station, live music, selfie station and tequila tastings. 3215 Regent Blvd.
Head to Mattito’s for happy hour, from 3 to 6 p.m., $5 Big Glass Margaritas and Tex-Mex favorites like brisket tacos and fajitas. 1001 MacArthur Park
