What time is Match of the Day on TV tonight and who are the pundits?

The new Premier League season kicks off this weekend and that means a return for Match of the Day. The famous theme tune is what Saturday nights are all about for football fans.

In an era of wall to wall coverage, online streaming, various broadcasters and much else that makes up modern football, there is something very satisfying about the regular uninterrupted highlights show which retains its appeal to different generations of fans.

What time is Match of the Day on TV and who are the pundits?

Gary Lineker remains as the anchor of the show along with regular pundits Ian Wright and Alan Shearer.

Match of the Day returns tonight (August 12) at the usual time of 10.20pm on BBC One.

Saturday’s fixture list includes the following games:

12:30pm – Arsenal v Nottingham Forest

3pm- AFC Bournemouth v West Ham United

3pm- Brighton v Luton

3pm- Everton v Fulham

3pm – Sheffield United v Crystal Palace

5.30pm – Newcastle United v Aston Villa

The MOTD broadcast will include the action from Burnley v Manchester City last night. It is repeated on Sunday morning at around 8.30am for anyone who misses the original showing.

MOTD2 will be back on Sunday night at 10.30pm with Mark Chapman. The sister show focuses on Sunday games – Chelsea v Liverpool and Brentford v Tottenham – whilst replaying the goals and major talking points from Saturday’s action.

MOTD is also available to watch on BBC iPlayer shortly after broadcast.
