What Nick Cannon’s Exes, Mothers of His Children Have Said About Him

TV host and entertainer Nick Cannon is reportedly expecting his 12th child, not long after it was revealed his 11th was on the way.

Cannon has been open about having multiple children with multiple mothers, even going as far as to joke about it with Elon Musk on Twitter. He’s apparently had a busy year: He announced he was expecting his eighth child in January 2022, but by this month he was up to baby No. 12.

There are six mothers to Cannon’s 12 children. His first children came when Mariah Carey gave birth to twins Moroccan and Monroe in April 2011.

Model Brittany Bell is the mother of two of his children: son Golden born in 2017 and daughter Powerful Queen, who was born in 2020.

He also has twins with DJ Abby De La Rosa, Zion and Zillion, who were born in June 2021.

Cannon also had a son named Zen with model Alyssa Scott. Born in June 2021, Zen passed away at just 5 months old from a brain tumor caused by hydrocephalus, an abnormal increase in fluid in the brain.

After announcing her pregnancy in January 2022, model Bre Tiesi gave birth to Cannon’s eighth child in July. Tiesi revealed on Instagram that his name is Legendary Love Cannon.

Baby No. 9 was with model LaNisha Cole. The girl, Onyx Ice Cole Cannon, was born on September 14, 2022.

In August, Cannon revealed he was expecting another baby, his 10th, with Bell, and it will be their third child. He announced the news by sharing images of Bell and himself in a photo shoot, with Bell showing off her bump. Rise Messiah Cannon was born on September 23.

Earlier in November, Scott announced on Instagram that she was pregnant again with Cannon’s child. On November 3, she shared images of herself and Cannon naked in a bathtub, with Scott sporting a baby bump.

And finally, baby No. 12 was announced this week by De La Rosa, who cryptically suggested that Cannon was the father of her unborn child. “1 night with a Libra can turn into 3-4 years. Be careful,” a meme said, to which De La Rosa joked, “Damn! lol 1 night turned into 4 years and 3 kids real quick…I see no lies here smh. y’all be safe out there.”

Cannon’s October 8 birthday means he is a Libra.

So that’s how Cannon came to be the father of 12 children. What have his mothers of his children said about him?

Mariah Carey

Carey’s twins with Cannon are now 11, and she is the first woman to have kids with him.

The couple broke up in 2014, and their divorce was finalized in 2016. Since then, it doesn’t appear that her children have much contact with Cannon’s other kids.

Carey was asked on Entertainment Tonight in 2021 if Moroccan and Monroe would be spending time with their stepsiblings at Christmas. “Is it step? I don’t think it’s step if you’re not married to the person,” she replied. “I don’t know about that. That’s a different interview for you.”

According to a US Weekly source, Carey doesn’t take note of Cannon’s other kids. “Mariah doesn’t keep up with Nick’s babies and baby mamas,” the person said. “There’s too many to keep up with! She’s happy for him and wishes him the best.”

Alyssa Scott

Scott and Cannon are expecting their second child less than a year after their first child, Zen, died.

After announcing that she was again expecting a child by sharing the pictures of herself and Cannon in the bathtub, she joked, “One thing about Nick, he’s going to show up for the photo shoot!”

A day later she posted another set of photos of the two of them. “The day we got to see our baby on the monitor. Hearing that heartbeat has helped mine,” Scott wrote. Cannon replied in the comments section. “Such a great day and beautiful memory forever!” he said with a heart emoji.

Bre Tiesi

Cannon appears to be on good terms with Tiesi, with whom he shares one child. On Cannon’s birthday, Tiesi shared a sweet birthday message for him.

“I know you hate your birthday BUT ledge and I are going to celebrate you every year forever. Happy birthday to the most beautiful soul we know. Thank you for the best thing that’s ever happened to me. we love you. Cheers to a lifetime of love and memories I got you for life,” she wrote.

She discussed their relationship on an episode of the Know for Sure podcast in June. “It’s not necessarily anything,” she said. “This is just us, this is our relationship and what you do outside of that is what you do outside of that.”

Tiesi said everything in their relationship is “respectful” and “honest.”

LaNisha Cole

The former Price Is Right model and professional photographer is “one of the most guileless, peaceful and non-confrontational kind souls” Cannon has ever seen, he wrote after the birth of Onyx.

Cole hasn’t spoken out much about Cannon, but after the birth of her child she mentioned him in an Instagram Stories post. “Nick is an amazing father. And it’s not necessary to post every move we’ve made online,” she wrote in response to some critics.

Brittany Bell

A former Miss Arizona USA and Miss Guam, Bell now has three children with Cannon.

She’s paid tribute online to the father of her children in the past. After the birth of her second child, Powerful Queen Cannon, on Christmas Day 2020, she wrote, “The best gift ever we have been surprised with… A GIRL.”

Bell continued, “All I can say is that Nick was my rock through the most intense yet empowering natural water birth. It was nothing but POWERFUL.”

Abby De La Rosa

Before apparently announcing on Instagram that Cannon was the father of her latest child, De La Rosa took issue with being called a “baby mama.” On Instagram Stories on November 4, she wrote, “Believe it or not I’m not just a ‘baby mama’ I’m a professional radio personality! Have been for years!

“In time y’all will get to really get to know me for who I am with outside of the name ‘Nick Cannon,'” she wrote.

In September 2022, De La Rosa defended her open relationship with Cannon. “Being in a polyamorous relationship doesn’t mean you have low self-esteem or self-worth,” she told the Lovers and Friends podcast.

“Me being open in my relationship does not change or take away from the type of mother that I am to my kids and the wholeness that I am to them and the strength that I share with them,” she said.

Admitting that Cannon was her “primary partner,” she said that somewhere down the line she sees “monogamy” for herself. “But I love where I’m at, at this very moment. It’s just not my forever.”
