What Happened With Kim & Kourtney? Their ‘Hate’ For Each Other Has Never Been Stronger
Kourtney #Kourtney
If you watched that fiery episode of The Kardashians, you might be wondering what happened to Kim and Kourtney Kardashian and their sisterly love.
The tension has never been higher. The sisters had another blazing argument in season 3 of the Kardashians and it clearly extended to the first episode of Season 4 of the Hulu series. Both arguments were ignited by Kourtney’s Italian wedding with Travis Barker. Kourtney and Travis married for a third time on May 22, 2022, at L’Olivetta, a villa owned by luxury—albeit problematic—fashion house Dolce & Gabbana, in Portofino, Italy. The couple held their reception at Castello Brown, a 16th-century castle near their wedding venue. For the wedding, Kourtney wore a white Dolce & Gabbana mini dress, with a cathedral-length veil stitched with the words “family loyalty respect” and an image of the Virgin Mary at the base. According to Vogue, the veil was based on Travis’ head tattoos, which also includes an image of the Virgin Mary. In Instagram Story photos shared by Travis’ daughter, Alabama.

Why are Kourtney and Kim feuding?
In the season premiere episode of The Kardashians, Kim and Kourtney fought over clothes and the latter’s wedding theme. “You saw this thing that was mine and wasn’t yours, and you wanted it,” Kourtney slammed Kim over the phone.

Kim responded, “It’s not that original. Everyone does ’90s, it’s not a new concept.”
The Poosh founder then accused Kim of being too “egotistical” to celebrate her wedding. “You’re talking about the bulls— details cause it’s all your egotistical, selfish mind can think about. You cannot stand someone else being the center of attention,” she continued. “You came to my wedding, you couldn’t be happy, you complained from the second you got there till the second you left… you couldn’t be happy for me, you couldn’t be happy that I was the center of attention.”
“What is it that you feel (can change to think) so low of me?” Kim interjects. “No, I want you to dig deep and figure out why you hate me so much and why you’re so angry with me. Because all of this never happened. I was so happy for you! Why would I not be happy for you?”
Kourtney responded, “I felt at my wedding like you weren’t happy for me.” Kim replied, “Because you have a serious vendetta. You just are a different – you hate us. You’re a different person. We all talk about it.”
Kim explained, “All of your friends call us complaining – whether you think they’re the ones going to you – they’re all coming to us on the side, saying the opposite to us. So, we’re all confused, and we’re on a group chat that’s actually labeled “Not Kourtney.” So we know, and have to funnel what your friends are saying to us and have to figure out why you’re such a different person and why you have this vendetta out.”
Kourtney then slams Kim as a “narcissist.” “It’s about you. You are a narcissist. It is all about you. Anything you do, it’s about you and about how it looks to the world about you. So you just want to clear up your facts. Take out my whole [expletive] side of the episode. I don’t give a [expletive] what anyone thinks about me.”
Kim then asks if Kourtney is “happy.” “Yes, not when I’m on the phone with you. I was five minutes ago.” Kim also clarifies that everyone doesn’t think she’s happy. “So you’re telling me that I’m unhappy and that I’m miserable and that you have a side chat called “Not Kourtney,” but you’re telling me that you’re happy for me?”
Kourtney also brought up the fact that the family has a side group chat without her. “Think about it. Well, certainly not having side chats specifically as me as the topic. Who … has time? Maybe you guys need to go think about if you’re not happy. Because that’s what you have time for? To sit and have side chats specifically to talk about me?”
Kim then brings up Kourtney’s three kids. “Well, your kids have even come to me with problems that they have and how you are.” Kourtney replied, “Is that helpful? You’re adding it into a fight to have a side. Like, it’s you and my friends and my kids and everyone against me. It’s like you’re just a [expletive] witch, and I [expletive] hate you.” Kourtney then hangs up the phone.
Did Kourtney and Kim make up?
The two were reunited for an interview side-by-side. “It felt to me like in the call that Kim was just using any weapon that she could find to hurt me, just everything, almost weaponizing everyone against me,” Kourtney says. “And I think we both got to a place that we weren’t proud of.”
Kourtney added that sometimes her family has the tendency to hurt each other with words and she’s trying to fix it through therapy. “When I’m reminded of those types of things, it really is hurtful,” she says. She finds herself thinking, “‘Why would my family treat me that way?’ And then I want to protect my energy and be around positivity and good vibes, and Palm Springs with my husband is where it’s at.”
