What Are Layla’s Powers In Moon Knight? Taweret’s New Avatar
Layla #Layla
Layla coming into action with her new powers in the new episode of Moon Knight was like a cherry on the cake. Here’s what the curious fans need to know about her abilities.
Moon Knight is unarguably the best Marvel show so far. Mohamed Diab has done an incredible job and created a masterpiece. Each and every episode of the series was a gem and surely better than the previous one. As episode 6 was the finale, no comparison can be made to its greatness.
Previous episodes of the series raised new questions while giving us some answers, and this episode was no different. Layla had to compromise and gain the powers of Taweret in order to fight Arthur alongside Marc. After seeing Layla becoming a superhero, fans wonder about her superpowers.

As Layla becomes the avatar of Taweret, she lends her powers to Layla, after which, just like Marc, her appearance changes, and she gains superhuman abilities. Her impressive superhero costume has blade-like wings which can be used for flying at a very high speed. As these wings seemed to be made of metal, they were sharp enough to be used as a weapon as well. Layla also obtains two gold swords which she uses to kill her enemies while fighting Arthur Harrow.
The avatars of the gods don’t just get divine equipment but also inner strength. When Layla and Marc are trying to stop Arthur, he attacks a car full of people. Layla uses her strength to save a girl from getting crushed underneath the car and then tries to stop the car with her bare hands. She then breaks the door of the same car and rescues people.
Layla is an expert combatant and marksman even before gaining her new powers. But her abilities improved after becoming Taweret’s avatar. Just like Marc and all other avatars of the gods, Layla is able to bare the deadly attacks of Arthur. As Taweret holds the power of rejuvenation, Layla possibly has the ability to heal herself quickly as well.
