How silly is that? The ball is levered over into space for Ousmane Dembele on the right.

He has the raw gas to get there, but Tino Livramento, perhaps knowing he’s on the back foot, sort of moves his legs into Dembele’s path. Their legs tangle, he goes down screaming in mock agony and the ref buys it. If anything, it was a foul the other way.

PSG’s fans are fuming with that, not without justification. But Dembele stupidly punts the ball into the crowd and is booked. He’ll miss the next game. Costly.

THEN Milan Skriniar is booked after seemingly tripping Anthony Gordon. He did flick his leg out to try to slow down Gordon, but the winger – not beyond him to dive – makes sure he kicks his leg against Skriniar to buy the booking.

Trippier’s free kick is deflected out for a corner.
