Pokémon Legends: Z-A will be the next mainline game in the series, following on from 2022’s Pokémon Legends: Arceus.T

The story in Arceus revolved around sending the player back in time to Hisui, the past land that we now know as Sinnoh.

At this time, the relationships between Pokémon and humans were just starting to develop, but Z-A seems like it will take a different approach.

The trailer showed us what Lumiose City of Kalos looks like as shown in 2013’s Pokémon X and Y.

It is believed that Z-A will take place in Lumiose City before its development into the bustling metropolis we know today began.

The Pokémon Company revealed that the game will take place entirely within the city and that Mega Evolutions will be making their return.

Fans are expecting new Mega Evolutions to be introduced, giving new light to some old friends.

The Kalos region has not been seen in a long time, and it is rumoured that a third game Pokémon Z was in development but later scrapped.

Pokémon Z was rumoured to show the third legendary Pokémon Zygarde, as this Pokémon remained incomplete until the next generation.

The title Z-A suggests that Zygarde could be the star of the new Legends game, but it also references another character from X and Y.

AZ is a character throughout the games and shows up at the end for a final battle.

He talks about a Floette that he lost 3,000 years ago, which means he could be from the time that Legends is set.

Pokémon Legends: Z-A will launch in 2025 exclusively on Nintendo consoles.
