East Texas (KLTV/KTRE) – Here is a look at the weather where you live: Good morning, East Texas! Today is the day of big changes as a strong cold front will finish moving through the entire area just after sunrise this morning. Expect temperatures to trend much cooler today, dropping into the upper 40s/lower 50s by mid-morning, then slightly rebounding into the mid-upper 50s and low 60s by the afternoon. Expect clouds to stick around all day today with a very low-end chance for a few sprinkles from time to time. Tomorrow starts off chilly in the lower to middle 40s and spotty showers become possible as a weak upper-level disturbance begins to track overhead. Scattered rain chances will continue on and off throughout the day Thursday, although coverage will be very limited for the first half of the day, then rains become a bit more widespread by Thursday evening into Thursday night. Rain ends quickly by late Friday morning, and we’re starting yet another rapid warming trend, placing highs in the upper 60s to near 70 degrees Friday, then upper 70s to near 80 degrees on both Saturday and Sunday. The first half of the weekend looks dry for now, but a few showers and an isolated thunderstorm will be possible Sunday afternoon. Monday’s rain chances look a bit better as another cold front pushes through East Texas, with some rain potentially sticking around into parts of next Tuesday.
