Carlito made a surprise appearance at WWE Backlash to a massive reaction in San Juan, Puerto Rico. This may not be the last we’ve seen of him.

In 2021, WWE brought in Carlito to do a guest appearance in the Men’s Royal Rumble. He wrestled and won a match on the next night on Raw and there were reports that WWE wanted to sign him to a deal where he would work behind the scenes as a coach as well as wrestle.

The deal was never made and there’s been talk over the last few years that WWE has wanted to bring him back but he had declined previous offers. Carlito continues to wrestle for various promotions around the country and for WWC in Puerto Rico.

Up until now, Carlito hasn’t shown much interest in a full-time WWE schedule, but a post by insider @BoozerRasslin on Twitter, is indicating that Carlito might sign the contract this time.

Boozer tweeted the following:

He just might accept it this time.

Carlito been offered a lot of times a contract the saw him with some TV time and stories + coaching. He kept declining all the time. But i guess its time he knows whats right for him. He can be useful 🙏🏼

Carlito would be a great asset in the locker room and if the plan is to return to Puerto Rico next year, then it makes even more sense to sign him. It would also make sense to sign Savio Vega for a backstage role as well.
