There continues to be hesitancy around the United States regarding taking the vaccine to prevent COVID-19, and the players in the NBA are by no means an exception, particularly among Black and minorities communities who have had a historically fraught relationship with medical science.
But the importance of getting as large a part of society vaccinated as possible to put an end to the pandemic that’s beset us for more than a year now is critical. To that end, the Boston Celtics put together a roundtable talk on vaccine hesitancy and medical mistrust in the Black community, spearheaded by Boston big men Tacko Fall and Grant Williams.

When the bedrock of mutual understanding and confidence in institutions exists, we can begin to move out of this long-lasting nightmare together.
