SBS’s new K-pop cover dance festival “Dancing Idol” is coming soon!
“Dancing Idol” is a show in which six different idol groups will cover legendary K-pop choreography. On April 4, SBS shared a fun clip of the two hosts, Super Junior’s Shindong and Oh My Girl’s YooA, introducing the six idol groups who will be participating in the dance cover challenge.
The MCs take turns performing with each group, starting with Shindong, who dances to “JACKPOT” with ELRIS, “Hands Up” with Cherry Bullet, and “BOUNCY” with Rocket Punch. YooA takes to the stage with VERIVERY for “Lay Back,” ONEUS with “A Song Written Easily,” and OnlyOneOf with “dOra maar.”
Following their collaboration performances, the video goes behind the scenes to take a closer look at the idols and MCs rehearsing. Shindong shyly meets with the female idols on stage and dives right into practicing their choreography. Meanwhile, in the waiting rooms, YooA introduces herself to the male idols and practices the choreography with each group.
You can catch the premiere of “Dancing Idol” on April 18 at 8 p.m. KST on the SBS KPOP YouTube channel. In the meantime, check out the exciting new teaser below!
