A day after Adolis García was named an MLB All-Star, the Texas Rangers outfielder showed exactly why he’s an All-Star.
In the first inning of the Rangers’ game against the Houston Astros on Monday, García robbed Mauricio Dubón of an extra-base hit with a leaping catch at the wall. Thanks to García’s catch, the Rangers were able to escape a rocky first inning without giving up a run.

García and Nathan Eovaldi were added to the All-Star roster on Sunday. They join the quartet of Jonah Heim, Marcus Semien, Corey Seager and rookie Josh Jung, who were all voted into the starting lineup. It’s the most starters the Rangers have ever had.

While he wasn’t named a starter, García is a strong candidate to replace New York’s injured Aaron Judge in the starting lineup.
