Watch: Oregon Ducks’ Bo Nix throws incredible TD pass against the Oregon State Beavers

Bo Nix may have secured the Heisman Trophy by making an incredible play Friday night. The Oregon Ducks’ quarterback, already one of the leading contenders for the award, provided a highlight against the Oregon State Beavers.

Nix, facing a second-and-10 at the Beavers’ 41 with just eight seconds remaining in the first half, was flushed out of the pocket and sprinted to his right. He threw across his body to the left toward the center of the field – usually a big no-no – but his pass found wide receiver Troy Franklin at the 15. Franklin easily broke the tackle attempt by Beavers’ defensive back Ryan Cooper Jr. and waltzed into the end zone.

Franklin’s catch pushed the Ducks’ lead to 21-7, and halted the Beavers’ momentum after they had scored a touchdown on their previous possession.

Franklin’s touchdown catch was his 14th of the season, and his 25th of his career, breaking the Ducks’ all-time record for career receiving touchdowns. Franklin was previously tied for the all-time record with Cristin McLemore, Keenan Howry, Jeff Maehl and Josh Huff.
