Watch: Notre Dame’s Ian Book with a Patrick Mahomes-like backhand flip for completion

Notre Dame is being tested Friday by North Carolina. The Fighting Irish got a couple of remarkable plays out of their quarterback, Ian Book, that were not drawn up in the playbook.

First, Book turned a disaster into a touchdown as he bobbled the ball picked it up, scrambled before finding Kyren Williams for the touchdown.

Up next was a vintage Patrick Mahomes-type play as he managed to flip the ball across his body and backhand for completion that turned a third down into a first down in the fourth quarter.
