Watch: John Johnson lays huge hit on DK Metcalf to cause incompletion

DK Metcalf is one of the biggest and strongest wide receivers in the NFL, standing 6-foot-4 and 229 pounds. And so it’s rare for him to take a big hit from a defender, but John Johnson made his presence felt in the first half of Saturday’s game.

On third down in the second quarter, Johnson put a big hit on Metcalf after the wideout hauled in a pass on a crossing route. Johnson’s hit jarred the ball loose and caused the incompletion, forcing the Seahawks off the field.

It’s not often you see Metcalf laid out like this, but Johnson is one of the best safeties and hardest-hitting guys in the secondary.
