CLEVELAND, Ohio — The Browns only needed three plays to find the end zone in Indianapolis on Sunday. On a 3rd-and-2 from their 31-yard line, Jerome Ford sprinted 69 yards through the Colts defense for the first touchdown of the afternoon.
The 69-yard run by Ford is a career long.
It’s Ford’s second rushing touchdown of the season to go with two receiving scores.
Ford was able to run through the hole created by Joel Bitonio, who returned to the lineup after missing the 49ers game with a knee issue, and Wyatt Teller. Center Ethan Pocic got to the second level to help spring the speedy Ford on his way to the end zone.
For the Browns, it’s their first opening-drive touchdown since Anthony Schwartz took an end around 31 yards for a score vs. the Buccaneers in Week 12 of 2022.
