Trailing the Saints 7-0 in the first quarter of Sunday’s Wild Card game, the Bears caught a rare break against one of the better defenses in the league.

After a successful Matt Nagy challenge of a Javon Wims reception for 24 yards, following some trickeration, Mitch Trubisky went to the former Georgia wide receiver a second straight time.

To the luck of Trubisky and Wims, the defender fell over and it appeared the Bears were an extra point attempt away from tying things early.

Except for one slight problem.

Wims forgot the part where he needs to actually catch the ball.

It was tough enough to watch live but somehow more difficult to watch a second time.  Here’s to hoping we’re not replaying this the next eight months or so and wondering, “what if?”
