WATCH: Jalen Hood-Schifino Scores 15 Points in First 12 Minutes Against Purdue

Indiana freshman point guard Jalen Hood-Schifino had the hot hand early on against Purdue, scoring 15 points in roughly 12 minutes of action.

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Purdue has no answer for Jalen Hood-Schifino early on.

Roughly 12 minutes into the first half, Hood-Schifino pulled up for a mid-range jump shot, but it hit off the front rim. Indiana’s freshman point guard followed his miss to grab the rebound, and he converted the layup through a foul from Brandon Newman, making the subsequent free throw. 

At this point, Hood-Schifino already scored 15 points.

Next up for Indiana is a matchup against the Iowa Hawkeyes on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. ET at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall in Bloomington, Ind.
