Fans of the Boston Celtics with a player in mind for a potential offseason addition abound online, with not a small number of fans and analysts alike relaying interest in trading for Memphis Grizzlies forward Kevin Anderson.
Slo Mo (as Anderson is sometimes called) is probably a little too old to be part of whatever the Grizzlies are building up towards with their youth movement at age 27, and will be a free agent due for a paycheck Memphis may not be disposed to matching. So why not deal him to the Celtics, ask proponents of getting the New Jersey native in green and white.
Asking exactly this question on a recent episode of the “Locked On Celtics” podcast, host John Karalis of Boston Sports Journal asks the co-host of “Locked on Grizzlies” Shawn Coleman if such a deal might be in the offing between the two clubs.
