Watch Foo Fighters perform Everlong at the iHeartRadio ALTer EGO concert
Everlong #Everlong
iHeartRadio have shared an awesome snippet of Foo Fighters’ set at the virtual ALTer EGO concert over the weekend, showing the rock titans absolutely tearing their way through classic 1997 single Everlong.
Normally a set-closer during their live shows, Dave Grohl and co. opted to open the performance with Everlong this time around, before tackling Medicine At Midnight singles Shame Shame and Waiting On A War, and finishing up with 2007 mega-hit The Pretender.

While they were there, Dave, guitarist Pat Smear and keyboardist Rami Jaffee also took part in an interview for the station, reflecting on 25 years as a band, discussing Medicine At Midnight, and revealing what they’ve been up to during the pandemic (spoiler: Dave’s cooked a lot of lasagne).
Speaking to Kerrang! last year about Foos’ lack of live shows in lockdown, Dave reflected of the moment the guys got back in a room together to play again: “To actually strap on the instruments and start playing these songs that we recorded a year ago just felt so fucking good. It almost seems like being a band again (laughs). There’s just no-one to play to at the moment… It was fulfilling in that we still can play, you know? Even if it’s to an empty room, it’s pretty good.”
