FEUDING Jamie Carragher and Richarlison came face-to-face and embraced despite the Liverpool icon calling him out just minutes beforehand.

Following criticism of Richarlison last season, Carragher was the subject of tweets from the 25-year-old.

The ex-Everton star, who was one of the main reasons the Toffees stayed up last term, tweeted alongside a poo emoji: “@Carra23 wash your mouth before you talk about me and Everton and I don’t respect you.”

Carragher replied: “I actually quite like this, if Twitter was about when I was a player I’m sure I would’ve called pundits out quite a lot!!”

But Richarlison and Carragher have squashed their beef as they came face-to-face following Tottenham’s 2-0 win over Nottingham Forest on Sunday.

The £52million summer signing played a vital roll in Spurs’ win, coming off the bench to assist Harry Kane’s second.

And instead of arguing with Carragher on Twitter, Richarlison traded that in for showboating on the pitch.

With just minutes left, the Brazil star started doing kick-ups – which resulted in him being wiped out.

Carragher said on Sky Sports: “Woah! It does wind people up. You can’t do that. But what is he doing?

“He just winds people up that lad, Richarlison. He winds me up.

“What do you expect Johnson to do? You’re not condoning that but…”

But in the post-match analysis, and despite Carragher’s criticism, Richarlison and Carragher embraced.

Richarlison also greeted the rest of Sky Sport’s punditry team.

Carragher quipped: “To be fair, I’m just glad he never blanked me!”

The Liverpool icon is, of course, referring to the moment he was awkwardly snubbed by Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo.

Carragher was snubbed by Ronaldo for a handshake.

But Ronaldo made sure to greet Man Utd legends Roy Keane and Gary Neville ahead of last Monday’s 2-1 win over rivals Liverpool.
