Ben “BitBoy” Armstrong, a prominent influencer in the cryptocurrency space, has been apprehended subsequent to a live broadcast conducted in close proximity to the residence of Carlos Diaz, a former business partner.

Armstrong was arrested while livestreaming outside the residence of his former business associate, who he claims has his Lamborghini. Before the YouTube livestream, he announced that he would shortly be “going live soon from a very special location.”

A little over an hour later, Armstrong was broadcasting himself at the home of Carlos Diaz, a consultant and investor in NFTs who is said to be affiliated with the Hit Network.

During his rant, Armstrong said that Diaz “wanted to kill him” and that he is connected to the Houston mafia.  “I’m not scared of you, Carlos,” he yelled.

Nearly 19 minutes into the broadcast, local cops showed up and questioned Armstrong whether he had a weapon on him. Armstrong emphatically denied it, except for in his car.

The stream visual cuts off for the next 17 minutes, but audio from a dialogue between Armstrong and the police officers can still be heard after being told to put down the phone.

Gwinnett County, Georgia, jail records show that Benjamin Charles Armstrong was booked on September 25 at 9:11 p.m. and is still in custody as of this writing.

Hit Network, owner of the “BitBoy Crypto” brand, severed connections with its public face, Ben Armstrong, at the end of August, claiming drug addiction and the resulting financial harm to staff as the reasons for the decision.

Several lawsuits have been brought and withdrawn by different parties since then. On September 20, Armstrong even asked the cryptocurrency community for donations to pay for his legal fees, leaving many angered by the idea.
