For the first time in his NBA career, Golden State Warriors forward Andrew Wiggins will come off the bench, but you wouldn’t know it from coach Steve Kerr.

Ahead of Saturday’s Game 1 playoff matchup between the Dubs and the Kings, reporters asked Kerr about “the plan” for Wiggins. The coach quickly fired off a “none of your business” while sporting a big grin on his face before informing everyone the forward would be playing.

Wiggins was officially cleared to play in this postseason opener Thursday.

Wiggins hasn’t played in an NBA game since Feb. 13 and was away from the organization for six weeks as he dealt with a family emergency that was revealed to be his dad dealing with a serious illness.

In his first press conference since returning to the team, Wiggins mentioned that he’d been working out every day while he was away, but that only translates so much toward a player’s ability to contribute to an NBA game. He’s at least looked good enough in practice to warrant high praise from his coaches and teammates, but if he’s coming off the bench, he’s clearly not quite at the fearsome level he was in last year’s playoffs.

Still, some of Andrew Wiggins is better than none of Andrew Wiggins. The Warriors are certainly hoping that even a percentage of their All-Star player is enough to get a win.
