Dubs Outscore Mavericks 68-45 In Second Half To Earn 126-117 Victory
Though the Mavericks held the lead through three quarters, the Warriors took control of the contest in the final frame to earn 126-117 victory over the Dallas Mavericks in Game 2 of the best-of-seven series.
The Warriors were down by as many as 19 points in the first half, marking the third largest comeback win in Warriors postseason history.
While the Dubs were down 14 points at the half, the squad used a 19-6 stretch in the third period to bring the game within two points entering the final frame. Otto Porter Jr. sank a 3-pointer at the start of the fourth quarter to give the Dubs their first lead of the night, with the squad riding the momentum and outscoring the Mavericks 43-32 in the fourth period.
Stephen Curry recorded 10 of his 32 points in the fourth quarter, while Jordan Poole posted 12 of his 23 points in the final frame. Kevon Looney posted a career-high 21 points and 12 rebounds, marking the center’s second consecutive double-digit output.
With the Game 2 victory, the Warriors take a 2-0 series lead, remaining undefeated 8-0 at Chase Center and 10-3 overall in the 2022 NBA Playoffs.
